Lance Corporal Jeremy Miller's fire team takes a man into custody after he rushed out of a room of the house they were clearing. In an instant the Marines had to determine if the man was a civilian or fighter. Having seen no weapons on the man initially, the Marines took the man prisoner. The man had Saddam military IDs on him and his home contained bomb making material, several rocket launchers and weapons. Days of room-to-room clearing often come down to a spit second decision of life and death. |
