Haji Nazekmir, put on a pair of Oakley Sunglasses he found at the “Bush Bazaar” in Kabul, Afghanistan. Afghan shoppers sort through piles of merchandise originating from U.S. and NATO military bases. Some items are so western that shoppers are unsure what they are used for. The market is called “Bush Bazaar” because of all of the U.S. products there. Everything from Meals Ready to Eat (MRE), infra-red glow sticks and relaxation soaps are for sale.
