Crowds gather around in a circle to get a glimpse of the dogfight in Kabul, Afghanistan. Dog fighting is a popular Friday event and men come large numbers to put money down on the fights. The government has attempted to crack down on the violent sport by threatened people fighting dogs with a USD$6,000.00 fine and up to three months in jail but the law is rarely enforced and Afghan police often attend the fights. |
