Tucked among the tight alleys of Kabul's old town is the Shiite Abu Fazl Shrine. Abu Fazl was one of the three sons of Imam Ali who were killed during a fight for the Caliphate of Islam in 680 A.D. Approximately 19% of Afghanis are Shia and 80% are Sunni Muslims. |
