A 155 mm howitzer shoots an illumination round from Forward Operating Base Ramrod to allow a patrol to see activity along Kandahar's main highway. Bravo Battery of 3/17 Field Artillery has shot 1,430 rounds of ammunition since they arrived in Kandahar province in September 2009 making it one of the most active artillery units in Afghanistan. |
